OMG...what an amazing two weeks...I am not a professional actress!  Oh yes, I AM  and the reviews made me know that it was worth it all those nights from 6Pm til 10PM rehearsing with LAPD and Pascal Rambert! ( gee I hope I spelled his name right) ....here are a few shots taken at The Vortex when we first started and were asking ourselves"WHAT THE FRICK IS THIS?? and WHAT HAVE I GOTTEN MYSELF INTO??"

After we finished at The Vortex..we moved to rehearsing outside in the cold, at night, I was not too happy but I only missed one rehearsal- just wore out...but I did get lots of pictures of my cast in Pershing Square-working it out...now it was coming together...

Homeless and Stressed.........life couch surfing and beyond

Queen Ra here, well thanks to the kindness of a good friend, I got a spot on his air mattress couch.  My days start at 6am getting ready to go the Downtown Women's Center for breakfast and some days if get there at 6am they give away clothes....

During the morning I see the early morning drug dealers and homeless getting up and putting their tents up..There is one angel I see every morning and get a HUG from his name is Timothy but he never lets me take his picture.  There is another gentleman I see every morning who is dressed to the utmost and I am taking daily pictures of him on a series I am calling "SwaG DTLA"  These are the famous MOONEY Twins and they defintely have SWAGG!

So I am so tired.....on the bus, fighting being cold at night and in the morning and then hot during the day..carrying around my lap top and cameras so I can do my work!

But when I see these angels I get strength to keep moving toward my blessings!

I just got my cell phone on and the keys to my daughters rented room..which both of us are not allowed to live in..without giving the landlord an extra $100 for rent and the rent is already at $650 for room less than 300sqft large and separate full bathroom.

Today we met at 11:30am to do a few pop up performances of Micro History of Economics (danced)

People downtown looked at us like we were criminals and some even ignored us....weird.

But we had fun anyway...bringing our art to the people!

well..more about the play and in cast in another blog soon...we are just too busy getting ready for our first performance...

So, yes, I am couch surfing with my best friend....hitting the ground running every day getting my paperwork together and preparing to team up with a powerful group of people for our fave work-WAKING YOU UP!
